This is a capacitiy oriented tool helping job searchers to find suitables posts that fit their own habilities and skills.It was conceived at the city of Cadiz in Southern Spain where unemployment is still an issue and therefore, “Descubriendo capacidades” is framed into a more general policy of fighting against unemployment. The tool start with a “capacities diagnosis” to find out what the person has to offer. Weaknesses and strong points are listed to be considered.Then comes a process of job orientation that takes into account the previously produced report on capacities. The tutor will help the job searcher to identify jobs that fit in well with his or her capacities.Once decided where the person should start to work, a training programa adapted to that job starts for the individual with a very pragmatic approach.Finally the whole process includes a period of “on site training” where the person will be accompanied and supported by the tutor when he or she starts to work.
