The Rickter Scale® is a unique motivational assessment and evaluation tool that offers an integrated, solucations-focused approach to working with individuals and groups, whilst measuring soft outcomes and distance travelled. It uses motivational interviewing techniques which raise self-awareness and build self-esteem, it overcomes communication barriers, it reflects the needs of individuals, motivates action planning and goal setting and also provides feedback about progress made.

Product innovation discussed above is a necessary but insufficient condition for the ultimate success of the programme. To be able to talk of any progress in achieving the goals of the EQUAL CIP, the products developed by partnerships must not only be innovative, but also useful for developing the social policy conducted at present.
